A notable phone we had the chance to review is the LG VX5200, a cell phone that has been created to revolutionize a very competitive market. Launched around 01/7/2005 the VX5200 functions under the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Measuring only 88 x 47 x 24 mm while weighting only 118 g, this cell phone makes an interesting tool. The LG VX5200 is including a compact camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 2X Zoom / Multi-Shot / Self-Timer. The phone is equipped with a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 3.33 hours and lets in standby mode about 180 hours. Its creators incorporated a 16 MB memory, just enough a normal use! An interesting option of the LG VX5200 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The screen on this cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 128 x 160 px.
The gaming system included in the LG VX5200 is based on BREW, supporting fun little games! Not surprisingly, as it is available in all cell phones nowadays, the VX5200 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging. Adding to that it supports MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The cell phone comes with a calendar which is very intuitive and LG provided a phone book enabling a contact list of 500.
The text prediction system uses the T9 technology, which is very easy to use. The High speed data transfer is using the cdma2000 1xRTT technology. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to share ringtones, wallpapers, etc. We have found the LG VX5200 to be a fantastic cell phone and we would recommend it to you!
