Nokia 5500 Sport review
An outstanding phone we have experimented is the Nokia 5500 Sport, a phone that was conceived to revolutionize the mobile phone market. Launched around 01/7/2006 the 5500 Sport functions under the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Measuring only 107 x 45 x 18 mm and weighting only 103 g, this phone is just the perfect size. The Nokia 5500 Sport comes with a beautiful camera of 2.0 MP / 4X Zoom / Multi-Shot / Video Recorder. This phone arrives with a 860 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 4.00 hours and gives in standby 270 hours. Its engineers included a 64.0 MB memory, just enough a normal use! Summing to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with microSD / TransFlash memory cards.
A cool thing of the Nokia 5500 Sport is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 208 x 208 px. Nokia has designed its 5500 Sport with a 64 chords ringtone ringer, ready for you to add many ringtones. If you want a customizable phone you will appreciate the fact that the 5500 Sport has customizable themes enabled. The gaming engine Nokia 5500 Sport is based on J2ME, providing cool games to play with! Not surprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the 5500 Sport enables both SMS and EMS.
It also supports MMS messaging to send pictures and clips! The predictive text system uses the T9 technology, which is very easy to use. The 5500 Sport does support streaming media being based on the RealPlayer / MPEG-4 / H.263 / AMR technology. The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) / EDGE technology.
The 5500 Sport has been designed with an infrared port for wireless data transfer. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to exchange information. We believe the Nokia 5500 Sport to be a very attractive companion cell phone and we happily suggest it to anyone interested in a good phone!
