Sanyo Katana review
A notable phone we had the chance to review is the Sanyo Katana, a phone that was conceived to revolutionize the mobile phone market. Released around 01/7/2006 the Katana is supporting the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Being of size 99 x 51 x 15 mm and having a weight of only 96 g, this phone has a perfect design. The Sanyo Katana comes with an interesting camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / Flash / Zoom. The phone is equipped with a Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 3.60 hours and lasts in standby around 168 hours. A cool thing of the Sanyo Katana is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The large screen lets setting a wallpaper of 240 x 320 px.
Sanyo built the Katana with a 72 chords ringtone ringer, ready for you to add several ringtones. The game collection included in the Sanyo Katana is based on BREW, providing cool little games! Unsurprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the Katana supports both SMS and EMS. Additionally it has MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The phone has a calendar which is very easy to use and Sanyo equipped it with a phone book with a capacity of 500.
The predictive text system is using the T9 technology, being a top system for easy using. This cell phone is using the cdma2000 1xRTT technology. The phone may be connected to a computer with a cable to share information. We have found the Sanyo Katana to be a fantastic cell phone and we would recommend it to anyone interested in a good phone!
