Siemens S56 review
An interesting cell phone we have experimented is the Siemens S56, a phone that was designed to revolutionize this year's market. Released around 01/10/2002 the S56 works under the networks GSM 850 / 1900. Being of size 101 x 42 x 18 mm and weighting only 85 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. This phone arrives with a 700 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you talk for about 6.00 hours and gives in standby 300 hours. Its creators incorporated a 1 MB memory, just enough for your daily tasks! An interesting option of the Siemens S56 is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The large screen lets you insert wallpapers of 101 x 80 px.
Siemens designed the S56 with a 16 chords ringtones engine, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones. The game collection included in the Siemens S56 is running on J2ME, providing cool little games! Not surprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the S56 supports both SMS and EMS. Additionally it has MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The phone includes a calendar which is well designed and Siemens equipped it with a phone book with a capacity of 500.
The predictive text system is based on the T9 technology, which is very easy to use. The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 8) technology. The S56 uses an infrared port for wireless communication. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to exchange data between both systems. We conclude believing the Siemens S56 to be a very attractive companion cell phone and we greatly encourage it to anyone interested in a good phone!
