Sony Ericsson P990 review
An outstanding phone we had a look at is the Sony Ericsson P990, a phone that was designed to compete a very competitive market. Launched around 01/4/2006 the P990 is supporting the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 2100. Being of size 114 x 57 x 25 mm and having a weight of only 150 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The Sony Ericsson P990 is including an interesting camera of 2 MP / 2.5X Zoom / Flash / Auto-Focus / Video Recorder. This cell phone comes with a Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 9.00 hours and gives in standby 400 hours. Its creators added a 80 MB memory, a good quantity for a regular use! Adding to its internal memory external memory can be added of format Memory Stick Duo memory cards.
An interesting option of the Sony Ericsson P990 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The screen on this cell phone lets you insert wallpapers of 240 x 320 px. Sony Ericsson designed the P990 with a 40 chords ringtones engine, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones. If you want a customizable phone you will be happy to know the P990 enables custom. The gaming engine Sony Ericsson P990 is based on J2ME, having cool little games to play with! Unsurprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the P990 enables both SMS and EMS.
It also supports MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The predictive text system uses the Handwriting Recognition technology, being very easy to use. The P990 supports streaming media exploiting the H.263 / 3GPP / AAC technology. The High speed data transfer is using the GPRS (Class 10) / UMTS technology.
The P990 is also equipped with an infrared port for wireless data transfer. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to transfer information. We have found the Sony Ericsson P990 to be a very interesting cell phone and we happily suggest it to anyone interested in a good phone!
