A notable phone we had the chance to review is the Sony Ericsson W300i, a phone that was designed to compete the mobile phone market. Released around 01/4/2006 the W300i functions under the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Being of size 90 x 47 x 24 mm and having a weight of only 94 g, this phone is just the perfect size. The Sony Ericsson W300i is equipped with a compact camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 4X Zoom / Video Recorder. It comes with a Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 9.50 hours and lasts in standby around 400 hours. Its creators added a 20.0 MB memory, just enough a normal use! Summing to its internal memory you can augment it with external memory with Memory Stick Micro memory cards.
A cool thing of the Sony Ericsson W300i is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The screen on this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 128 x 160 px. Sony Ericsson has modeled its W300i with a 40 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add tons of ringers. If you like phones that uses skins you will appreciate the fact that the W300i supports custom themes. The game collection included in the Sony Ericsson W300i runs on J2ME / 3D Gaming, providing cool little games! Not surprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the W300i has support for both SMS and EMS.
Additionally it has MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The text prediction system is using the T9 technology, being very easy to use. The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) / EDGE technology. The W300i comes with an infrared port for all your data transfer.
The phone may be connected to a computer with a cable to share ringtones, wallpapers, etc. We conclude believing the Sony Ericsson W300i to be a great cell phone and we would recommend it to our readers!
