Sony Ericsson W950 review
A special phone we had the chance to review is the Sony Ericsson W950, a cell phone that has been created to rival this year's market. Unveiled around 01/7/2006 the W950 works under the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 2100. Having a dimension of only 106 x 54 x 15 mm and having a weight of only 112 g, this phone is just the perfect size. It comes with a Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 7.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 340 hours. Its creators added a 4.0 GB memory, enough for a regular use! An attractive option of the Sony Ericsson W950 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 240 x 320 px.
Sony Ericsson designed the W950 with a 40 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones. If you want a customizable phone you will appreciate to know that the W950 supports custom themes. The gaming engine Sony Ericsson W950 is based on J2ME / 3D Gaming, providing cool little games! Not surprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the W950 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging. Adding to that it supports MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The text prediction tool is using the Handwriting Recognition technology, which is very easy to use.
This cell phone is using the GPRS (Class 10) / UMTS technology. The W950 uses an infrared port for data transfer. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to transfer information. We believe the Sony Ericsson W950 to be a very interesting cell phone and we greatly encourage it to anyone interested in a good phone!
