Sony Ericsson PPC-6700 review
A special phone we had the chance to test is the Sony Ericsson PPC-6700, a phone that was conceived to revolutionize this year's market. Launched around 01/7/2005 the PPC-6700 functions under the networks CDMA 800 / 1900. Being of size 108 x 59 x 24 mm and having a weight of only 172 g, this phone is just the perfect size. The Sony Ericsson PPC-6700 is equipped with an interesting camera of 1.3 MP / 1280 x 960 px / Zoom / Flash / Macro / Video Recorder. This phone arrives with a 1350 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 3.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 200 hours. Its creators added a 128.0 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! Adding to its internal memory you can augment it with external memory with miniSD memory cards.
An interesting option of the Sony Ericsson PPC-6700 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The nice screen of this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 240 x 320 px. If you like skinnable phones you will appreciate the fact that the PPC-6700 supports custom themes. The gaming system included in the Sony Ericsson PPC-6700 runs on J2ME, providing cool little games! Not surprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the PPC-6700 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging.
It also supports MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The prediction text tool is using the Handwriting Recognition technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The PPC-6700 supports streaming media based on the Power Vision technology. This cell phone is using the cdma2000 1xEV-DO technology. The PPC-6700 uses an infrared port for data transfer.
